Europass Mobility
Take the next step
The Europass Mobility Document is a standard document in use throughout Europe that records an individual’s participation in an organized mobility experience in another European country (European Union/EFTA/EEA and candidate countries).
- encourage recognition of experiences gained abroad
- a work placement in a company
- a voluntary placement in a NGO
- other cases
The mobility experience (e.g., through programs such as Erasmus, Erasmus+, etc.) is monitored by two partner organizations, the first in the country of origin and the second in the host country.
- enrich your knowledge
- broaden your professional and personal perspectives
- enhance your autonomy, acquire new skills and competences
- make new friends or even future partners
How can you obtain a Europass Mobility Document?
For Greece, organizations that participate in mobility experiences and act as sending partners can apply to the National Europass Centre—EOPPEP for Europass Mobility on behalf of individuals that study or work in them.
Procedure to issue a Europass Mobility document?
The Europass Mobility document is part of the Europass framework developed by the European Union to help individuals communicate their skills, qualifications, and experiences clearly and effectively across Europe. The Europass Mobility document specifically records knowledge and skills acquired in another European country through a structured mobility experience, such as a traineeship, exchange, or work placement.
- Identify the Mobility Project
- Erasmus+ programs
- Internship or work placements
- Volunteering experiences
- Exchange programs between institutions
Two institutions must be involved:
- The sending organization (e.g., a university or employer in the home country)
- The host organization (in the country where the mobility takes place)
- Contact the National Europass Center (NEC)
Each participating country has a National Europass Center (NEC) that coordinates the issuance of Europass documents.
The sending organization should:
- Get in touch with their NEC.
- Verify the specific procedures or platforms used in their country.
- Register as an authorized institution (if not already registered).
- Establish a Learning Agreement
Before the mobility period starts, the sending and host organizations must:
- Create a learning agreement outlining:
- The skills, competencies, or knowledge expected to be acquired.
- The tasks or training activities are planned.
This agreement must be signed by:
- The participant (student or worker)
- The sending organization
- The host organization
- Enter Information into the Europass Platform
Once the mobility has taken place, the sending organization will:
- Log in to the Europass online platform (or national system).
- Enter all relevant details: participant info, duration, activities, skills gained, etc.
Some NECs offer dedicated tools or templates for this purpose.
- Validation and Signature
The Europass Mobility document must be
- Validated by both the sending and host organizations.
- Signed by official representatives of both parties.
- In some cases, it is digitally signed and sealed using the national platform.
- Issue and Deliver the Document
Once completed and validated:
- The participant receives the Europass Mobility document (in digital or print form).
- It can be attached to the participant’s Europass profile (online portfolio).
- It may be used to enhance a CV, LinkedIn profile, or application for further studies or jobs.
